EastOver Press is an independent literary press with an online journal named Cutleaf. We specialize in publishing short stories, nonfiction, and poetry in a format that honors both the writing and the writer.
We’re seeking an independent contractor to assist us with social media coordination. The primary responsibilities will include:
- developing a content calendar for EastOver Press and Cutleaf Journal social media platforms, which currently include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Threads;
- creating social media graphics and content to highlight EastOver Press and Cutleaf Journal news;
- monitoring and responding to inquiries and mentions on social media channels;
- working with the EastOver Press team to develop strategies for audience engagement and growth; and
- drafting content for the EastOver Press newsletter, which is distributed every other week.
Depending on experience and interests, the social media coordinator may occasionally assist with book photography, video production/editing, and virtual event hosting.
Qualifications include:
- previous experience developing and executing a social media content calendar;
- proficiency creating graphics with InDesign or Canva;
- excellent organizational and communications abilities; and
- an interest in well told stories.
